1. SUPER DEAL Portable Washer 9.9lb Mini Compact Twin Tub

I am so excited about my purchase of this portable washer/dryer. I’ve wanted one forever after seeing what they were selling on QVC. So when I saw this deal advertised, I jumped on it. The ad said it would arrive by 7 pm. and here I’m writing this review saying “Arrived earlier than expected.

It’s absolutely adorable. It spins nicely and even though mine came as an add-on item, it has its own plug in which makes me happy 🙂 Also, it fits perfectly into a compact space (my current cabinet only goes 1/2 way down the length of the room). Here are some important notes that I wish I had known before making my purchase:- Although the instructions say NOTHING about it, once you attach the hose to the mixer, it will begin to drain. This is normal. – Before attempting to plug in the hose to the mixer, ensure that the faucet being used is turned ON. Then try attaching the hose to the mixer.

If it doesn’t work, then the hose needs to be inserted in the direction opposite to that of the arrow on the box. I love how convenient this is. I can take my dirty laundry to another part of the house to continue cleaning while waiting for my regular weekly pickup to occur. After doing a few loads, I actually look forward to taking the trash out. Lol.

2. WonderWash Portable Non-Electric Manual Clothes Washer

This is my first time doing laundry with one of these little guys and I have had nothing but good luck with all electronic items I have purchased from Amazon. Well. so far anyway. I put on rubber gloves before turning it on and started by adding in an ounce of detergent. Then I added in two full quarters because they said it would be too much if I washed them separately. At this point there were still some pieces of clothing at the bottom of the container.

So I picked up the basket and gave it another spin. This caused more stuff to come off and when I shook it again there wasn’t anything left in the bottom. I rinsed it three times and then filled it up half way. After giving it a once around, back and forth twice, I decided to hang things on hangers (there are plenty of those) while I waited for the cycle to complete itself. When it finished I took everything down and placed it in the sink to rinse a few more times. After drying everything, I was very pleased with how well it performed.

My clothes came out cleaner than any regular or commercial laundering method I’ve ever used. Of course I’m only talking about the portion that matters most which is what comes out of the washer after being laundered. But I was impressed with how clean the fabrics came out even without using any fabric softener. And this thing really performs–as evidenced by how dirty everything was coming out of the faucet. A tip for anyone who purchases one of these–if you’re going to change your sheets frequently, leave the sheet hanging over the side until it gets its final rinse. Other than that, make sure to remove the lint filter since it will get clogged up over time. Another thing I noticed is that the tiny plastic piece that acts as a flow control valve sticks out pretty far from the front so it tends to catch whatever is laying on top of it during transport.

Keep an eye out for that piece moving toward the rear where it eventually becomes almost useless. All in all, this product does exactly what it advertises and has been performing admirably.

3. Lavario Portable Clothes Washer (Manual Non-Electric)

I bought this because I don’t live near a laundry mat or laundromat and I had read it would help me clean my clothes better so I give it 5 stars even though there are some parts where they probably should have been redesigned but if you get them wet then they will mold very easily. But overall it works great and it’s definitely worth buying especially if you do not want to buy any electrical products at all. It does require some work however it’s also very simple to operate. The most difficult part for me was figuring out how long to let it run before switching it off since it doesn’t have an automatic shutoff like on my regular washing machine. If you figure out that part then operation is pretty straightforward. Another thing is make sure you rinse every garment with cold water after washing it.

With the exception of towels which can be rinsed with warm water as long as you aren’t putting fabric softener in afterwards. Make sure you do not put fabric softener in. They recommend washing white garments separately because it could set into plastic formation. Even if you follow all of these instructions carefully you may still find yourself having to throw something away due to mold growth. Overall it’s worth purchasing no matter what your circumstances.

4. Panda Portable Washing Machine, 1.34 Cu.ft

I love this machine. I’ve been wanting one for several years but could never justify it financially. After reading reviews on here, I decided to take the plunge and bought this. I have had it for about two weeks now and absolutely LOVE IT. Here are some pros and cons:Pros:- This thing is compact but not too small. – Has multiple features including auto unbalance detection that will correct itself if there’s any imbalances.

– Easy to use – very intuitive control panel & electronic buttons. There are also lighted indicators so you know exactly what mode you’re in. – Built in agitator spins items evenly so they get washed thoroughly. – Can wash all kinds of garments at different settings depending on their weight. For example, I can set my lighter clothes on the top rack and my heavier clothes on the bottom rack.

– The dryer section works great and gets rid of wrinkles quite well. To be clear, I haven’t used a load of clothes yet; I just did an initial test spin on some clean towels. But from what I saw, it does a good job. – The adjustable height allows me to fit taller items in without having them fall over. Cons:- As others have mentioned, this is definitely NOT a commercial machine. Don’t expect things to look like a laundromat or to perform like one either. While it may offer more convenience than a traditional washer, it simply cannot handle heavy loads like clothing, bed sheets, etc.

As well as being large enough to accommodate those larger items.

5. Portable Top Loading Washer, 2.8 Cu. Ft

I have been using this washer for a couple of weeks now. I bought it so that I could wash my bed sheets in a washing machine instead of soaking them in hot water or using fabric softener. The idea is to save money since they are only used occasionally. But when you find how easy it is to use this washer, you wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. It makes cleaning up very simple. Here are some of the reasons I like it so much:-It has top loading trays which means I can put it into action quickly (or at least more quickly than if I had to load the clothes manually).

This also means that I don’t have to move the sink too much during operation. -Because it uses cold water as its source, it doesn’t leak from anywhere. That’s something I hated about other portable washers because either they were poorly designed or they leaked no matter what you did. They all seemed like cheap plastic toys, but this thing feels solid and well made. -The LED display tells me exactly how many liters of water are currently in the drum.

Since it uses meters rather than cups, the unit never overflows even when doing several loads of laundry. In fact, it will tell you when to stop adding water even before the water level gets too high. One advantage of course is that you don’t have to keep an eye on the water level. You just add as long as the lights come on. When done, you drain the water out and then rinse the drum.

There isn’t any running water to cause leaks along the side of the drum. -Even though these days we are often told not to use chlorine products, the design of this product helps protect against clogs caused by undissolved chemicals. There’s nothing stopping liquid coming in contact with the aluminum bottom plate and causing rusting. These washers include a device that prevents rust from forming on the bottom plate. Of course, you should always make sure to clean the washer after every use; otherwise, the problem may start all over again. This is a great little washer. What I don’t understand however is why manufacturers continue to produce such low quality items.

For example, I recently purchased another dryer intended for camping. but found out that the manufacturer ships directly from China. Not only does this cost me 30% more. it meant I would have to wait two months or longer for delivery. So I returned that item and purchased this washer. Now, whenever I travel camping, I know that I can count on having a working washer — unlike most campgrounds where there are usually several broken down appliances scattered around.

6. BLACK+DECKER Small Portable Washer with Transparent Lid & LED Display

I’ve been using the Black+Decker washers for several years now because I hate doing laundry by hand. The price isn’t too bad compared to other brands, but there are some negatives that I wanted to mention. But first let me say that if you don’t want to do heavy duty labor such as scrubbing floors or bending over to pick things up then you will love this product. It makes doing light duty work so much easier. Pros:- Makes doing the simplest forms of laundry way less annoying than trying to use a manual washer. – Has an option for all 4 seasons plus delay start for when it’s not convenient to wash.

– Easy to move around once setup. The Bad:- As many people noted here, the water hookup seems like an afterthought and doesn’t attach securely enough to keep things cleanly – just get a better one please. 😱 That said, I haven’t had any issues with my plumbing unless I’m not looking at it properly. My faucet tends to leak unless I try to aim directly at the center point of the sprayer head. Not a design flaw, but something to consider.

This really is a very good choice though. Just make sure you aren’t buying based only on the pictures and descriptions.
