These are well made products. All three components are rated IP 44. This means that they will probably be safe even exposed to water splashes (although this should never be the case). They were very easy to install. I did have issues with hook 7 on the large size string. It kept coming loose after a few minutes. However, all other hooks attached securely. I am guessing that there may be some variation in how the thread was manufactured causing one hook to come loose. If so, it must be a fluke since all the others are securely fastened. One feature I don’t care for is remote control operation. To set the timer, you have to press one button at a time. But if you miss a beat, you cannot reset the clock. There should be a single button to press to get both modes (on/off & timer) together.

These lights are beautiful! They have a very nice warm white glow. I’ve used them both indoors and outdoors with great success. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was the speed at which they arrived (2 days later than promised). However, this is typical when ordering online from China. So don’t be discouraged by the 2 day delay because you’ll probably end up spending more time fixing the shipping problem anyway.I ordered these along with a set of 150 led bulbs from Liuliuby. com. Although the 100s were slightly cheaper per bulb, I thought I’d use all 300 so I could match the wattage. Plus, I knew I would need some replacement bulbs down the line. It turned out they needed fewer bulbs (averaging about 20 per fixture) than what I had purchased – 100s. But again, not surprising since the fixtures themselves were much larger.So just be aware going into all this that you might spend more time on prep and installation than expected.Installation tips:-Make sure the cord coming out of each light has been secured.-Wrap the rest of the extension cord around the dowel rod. This way if there is ever a kink in the extension cord, only one side will get really hot and maybe even melt or start a fire. If you’re worried like I was, buy another extension cord separately.

-Plug everything together as soon as you receive it. Then give it a chance to cool before trying to adjust anything. You can always take things apart after everything is cooled but if you try adjusting while hot, you risk damaging or destroying the electronics inside the light itself. Let it cool first.

-If you want to change the color of your lights, you can remove the head screw completely. Otherwise, you’ll need to remove part of the housing and replace some internal parts. There’s a youtube video explaining how to do this. Again, be careful working with hot electrical components. Also note that the housing seems to fit tightly back onto the base. Be careful removing it. And definitely don’t try changing any of the colored filters until everything is plugged in and allowed to cool.

-You may want to protect yourself from getting shocked if you decide to spray paint the housing. I did this myself without using any protective gear and got no problems. But if you do electrocute yourself, it won’t help. Take care! 🙂

I had seen some reviews that they were not good for bathroom or kitchen but I was hoping for something nice for my kids room. We have a big window that looks out into the woods and at night the deer come into our yard. So we got these lights and put them outside the window. They are really pretty and glow greenly. My only issue is that if you want to hang them higher than where you put the outlet, then you need to get an extension cord because the cord from this little thing just doesn’t reach. Otherwise they work great! Oh, and there isn’t anything saying you can’t install them in the bathroom either.

5. Fairy Curtain Lights, 16-Color Changing String Lighting

I had a fairy curtain (light) in my room when I was a kid but lost it during house moving/reno so I never got it back. After seeing this product online, I decided to buy a replacement and do DIY re-install which took me about an hour to finish since I did not have a string light like this one.Overall, I love the product. The quality is good and what I expected from a fairie curtain light. But why did I give only 4 stars? Well, because after installation, I realized that although there were 16 colors available, I used less than half of them and 3 out of the remaining were identical! So basically, I ended up using 11 of the 16 colors twice! Not really happy about that. Also, the ability to change the lighting via the app would be awesome if we could actually find the energy to download all the pictures from the internet each day. Now, I will say that I don’t think that is a big deal at all and probably doesn’t even need to be included in future updates.But overall, still recommend the product!

6. ZAIYW Curtain Lights 600 LED, Dual Color Changing with Remote Connectable

These curtains were relatively inexpensive so I thought they would serve as just decorative accents in our new-ish house. We didn’t plan on having many plants but wanted some nice looking plant decorations. The color changing feature was an added bonus since we couldn’t decide what color to get. I love white, she loves pink!Pros:-Cute design- Well madeCons:-Not very bright at night-A little bit pricey-Lack of directions- A little difficult to install because the holes don’t line up-The remotes have batteries!!! So if you want to move them from room to room or take them outside you’ll need to put in the battery.-Lack of direction about how to wire these into an outlet strip or directly into a switch. It took several tries before I figured out how to connect the wires.Conclusion:They’re cute and work well as a decorative element. They seem sturdy enough for the purpose we intended them for. However, lack of directions, lack of communication about wiring them together, and the price kept me from giving them five stars.

These lights were very easy to install. I bought two identical sets since I installed both my bathroom and bedroom redo’s. Installation was fairly simple except for cutting the cord and connecting it up. It looks great! They look just like all the pictures. So far, they seem pretty bright. Brightness can be adjusted. There are eight different patterns/modes. One way to figure out which mode you’re using is to see whether or not the light is flickering – if it is, then you’ve selected a mode with a flashing light. Otherwise, it’s a normal mode. All of the lighting options are adjustable – brightness, pattern, speed, and even delay.The remote seems to work well. But, there’s no number indicators on the remote so you don’t know where you are when changing modes. Also, there isn’t an index on the remote either. You might end up having to remember what mode you last changed to – especially if you go back to a mode by pressing the enter button. It would be nice if there was a marker along the side of the remote indicating your current mode. To change modes, you have to press ‘enter’ followed by the mode number.It works fine, but it could be better.

8. Bolylight Plug in Curtain Lights for Bedroom with 8 Flash Mode

These lights are beautiful! I’ve had them installed for about two weeks now, and they seem sturdy and well made. They were relatively easy to install – we had trouble finding an exact spot for some of the heavier ones (the heavy ones ended up going upstairs). The light strings themselves are just long enough that if you want to hang multiple sets together you can get 2-3 sets from one string. So far we’ve only needed one set per string but we did end up buying several strings at once because we wanted all the colors.The remote is very useful. We originally placed these lights near our front door where we could see them from the outside, through the glass. But then when we saw how pretty they were against the dark bedroom walls we decided to move them inside. Where we put them is much darker than the rest of our home, so we didn’t want to rely on using them as a signal to turn other lights on/off – instead we programmed each flash pattern into each string’s memory button so that only those lights would be flashing when pushed. This gave us a great way to walk around the house at night without disturbing others while still allowing us to control access to power based on need. There’s also a test mode available via the same button on the remote. If you hold down the button for 1-2 seconds it will cycle through all the patterns. Note that there seems to be a slight delay between pressing the button and the light actually changing modes – my guess is that this is due to the programming process.I’m not sure why you’d ever want to change the speed of the flashes or make them faster or slower, but it’s certainly handy to have that option.All things considered we’re happy with these lights.

9. String Light Christmas Party Bedroom Decorations 9 x 9.8ft

These are my first pair of string lights ever purchased and I am very happy with them. They seem well made and were relatively easy to put up – just follow the directions that come with them. My only complaint is that they would not work without being plugged into a power source, even when the switch was turned on as far as it could go. So, while this isn’t really a problem for me, I’m sure others may wish to utilize these lights within their own DIY projects.The photo attached shows all 8 modes – at least how I have them set up. The top 4 – Waves, Sequences, Gliding, and Flashing are fairly self explanatory. I do like the way that the Controlling Switch can be located either where the product comes from or near where the end is connected to the curtain rod. This makes it easy to move from room to room. There is also an On/Off switch located along one side which works well since there is only one location for the switch. Just connect the opposite end of the light strings to the wall switch and then insert the other end inside the electrical box containing the switch.I chose to get these particular lights because of the length. I needed something long enough to hang six panels [made elsewhere] across my dining area. Since each panel was 12 feet tall, I ended up with two sets of three lights hanging together. By doing so, however, the lights would dangle almost close to the ceiling making them useless for anything else such as trying to read or watch TV. To remedy this situation, I used hooks made out of wood that I drilled through my finished basement walls to add support. I then added curtain rods at various heights to keep the curtains closed and prevent light leaks.Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. Considering that I had ordered similar products sold by other vendors for more than double the cost, I feel that I got quite a deal.

I had seen many reviews about this product but I decided to take a chance and purchase them anyway because of all the great features that they offer. These lights come with an everything bag which has a metal chain attached to each bulb. This makes it super easy to hang up!Each light fixture is individually wrapped in plastic wrap. There is no string or other attachment from the ceiling down so if there ever was a problem with a single bulb falling (and I’m speaking of course, not being held up by a curtain), it could be easily replaced.As far as the quality goes, these curtains are made of a nice thick gauge of copper wire. They seem durable enough and have been working well since I plugged them in.The remote has several different options for changing the color and brightness of the lights. It also dims the lights completely or changes their patterns. Since we don’t really need to see the light source, the dimming option will work fine for us.All in all, I am happy with our purchase and would recommend these to anyone looking for some new holiday decorations.
